What Maintenance Does a Commercial Building Need?

A commercial building needs monthly extinguisher, emergency light and filter checks, quarterly HVAC service, twice-yearly roof inspections, and yearly fire alarm, sprinkler and backflow tests, plus elevator tests if you have one. Standards such as NFPA and ASME set many intervals, and your local authority, insurer and equipment manuals can require more.
