Before You Hire

Facilities usually schedule roofing contractors twice a year, usually spring and fall, and after major storms. Ask:

• Do you take commercial work, and do you service buildings like ours?
• Can you send a certificate of insurance naming us as additional insured?
• Do you work on our roof type (TPO, EPDM, modified bitumen, metal)?
• Are you approved by the manufacturer so our roof warranty stays valid?
• Will you give us a written inspection report with photos?

Hiring Tips

• Read your roof warranty first: unapproved repairs can void it.
• Keep drains and scuppers clear; standing water shortens a flat roof's life.
• Limit roof access and log who goes up.
