Before You Hire

Facilities usually schedule pest control companies monthly or quarterly, depending on the building. Ask:

• Do you take commercial work, and do you service buildings like ours?
• Can you send a certificate of insurance naming us as additional insured?
• Is the applicator licensed by the state pesticide agency?
• Do you use integrated pest management, and what will you find and fix first?
• Will you keep a service log that satisfies our health inspector or auditor?

Hiring Tips

• Seal gaps and fix moisture first; treatment alone rarely holds.
• Food businesses should keep the service log with their inspection records.
